Porthole
Single-channel video loop and assemblage. 5'8" h, 2004
A seductive image of shimmering light reflected on the water through the portholes of a fishing boat. A recording device draws a sine wave analogous to the wave motion that rocks the boat. Through repetition over a long period of time it obliterates the paper image of the boat and becomes itself unintelligible. Memory self-destructs.Exhibition History>
