Porthole

Single-channel video loop and assemblage. 5’8″ h, 2004

A seductive image of shimmering light reflected on the water through the portholes of a fishing boat. A recording device draws a sine wave marks the wave motion that rocks the boat. Through repetition marks obliterates the image. Memory self-destructs.
